Introduction to the organization
of Red Umbrella New Zealand (RUNZ)

Red Umbrella is a Chinese webpage under NZPC, which is convenient for a group of people who like to read in Chinese and learn more about the New Zealand sex industry. The purpose is to provide sex workers with rights and safety that can support you. Information on health and well-being.

Red here specifically means a red light district, and a red light district refers to a block dominated by the sex industry. Umbrellas can protect against wind and rain.

Sex workers are the oldest industry in the world, but they are also vulnerable to discrimination, bullying and lack of rights.
Red Umbrella supports all sex workers and believes that "my body is the master", and everyone has the right to control and use their own body.

All women engaged in sex work in New Zealand.

The purpose of the Red Umbrella is consistent with that of the New Zealand "sex worker collective". We firmly believe that every sex worker enjoys basic human rights. Receive fair treatment before the law. Should not be violent, exploited, or abused. Support and promote the rights, health and well-being of all sex workers.

Although the umbrella is small, I hope that we will support each other and love each other together on the way forward.

Through this platform from time to time, we will provide you with an understanding of the laws, regulations and policies related to the local sex industry; understand the rights of sex workers and how to protect themselves (if you may encounter dangers in the workplace).
Collect and publish sex worker cases, record their stories, reflect their problems, and let the public understand their lives and situations better. And talk to everyone about the situation and needs of sex workers, as well as their occupational health.
